Becoming A Member

Become part of the Legacy of Women who Make a Healthy Difference in the Community.

We are looking for enthusiastic women who are committed to promoting volunteerism, developing the potential of women and improving our community.
The JLSS reaches out to and embraces all women regardless of age, race or religion who demonstrate an interest in volunteerism and a commitment to bettering our community.

As part of an international organization of over 125,000 women, the Junior League of Schenectady and Saratoga Counties has a mission of promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving the community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. We reach out to women of all races, religions and national origins who demonstrate an interest in and a commitment to voluntarism. Our purpose is exclusively educational and charitable.

The league year will be exciting, challenging, and rewarding and we invite you to join us! Upon joining, you will take part in our Provisional Training Course, which is offered each League year. You will have the opportunity to meet many dynamic women from the Capital Region, develop new friendships and discover more about yourself and your community. Each new member plays an important role in the future of the League. Together, we will continue to make an impact in the Capital Region.
